Illinois farmers planted a third of the 2010 corn crop last week.  One week ago, only one percent of corn was reported planted statewide.  This afternoon's weekly progress report from the Illinois Ag Statistics Service showed 34% of the crop is now in the ground.

Condition of the state's winter wheat crop remained in mostly good to fair condition, with 31% of the crop rated poor or very poor.  Just 2% of the crop is rated in excellent condition.
