The Visitor Center at Starved Rock State Park, the most popular state park in Illinois, is open again. But you can’t just walk in and out like before the pandemic. Site Superintendent Alvin Harper says you have to get a ticket ahead of time. Then you can tour the exhibit hall for free. Pandemic safety rules are in place, so you must wear a mask inside and not be too close to others.

There are also guided hikes at the park that you can get tickets for. Information on the events and how to get the tickets can be found by looking up "Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks" on Facebook.
