Rain last week slowed down planting progress in the fields. There were short windows for some during the weekend and Thursday. Rainfall totals were near a half-inch, which allowed some sprayers to get caught up during the dry days. I would estimate that planting is 75% complete. Besides the most recent planting window, the crops are all out of the ground or breaking through the crust. Overall, stands are fairly uniform, given the adverse weather they faced early on. Some heat would be welcome to help the crops really take off!
