It has been a busy week for folks making hay as they work between the chances of rain. Rain totals were around a half-inch over the last few days. The corn was struggling early in the week with a sickly yellow tinge throughout the fields. Later in the week, the corn finally found the nitrogen and started to grow more with the heat. We are finally having dark green corn fields. The early planted corn is about knee high and starting to shade in the rows. Field work is still busy with sidedressing and spraying of the younger crops. A few field cultivators are out and about, working in some soybean fields in the early April planted bean fields.
