I heard some strange noises last week in the way of thunder, and we even saw some lightning. These are two things we haven’t had in a long while. Last week we were fortunate enough to catch about 2 inches of rain in three different rain events. I feel fortunate we aren’t dealing with flooding like others. The rains will certainly help with pod fill. Cornfields are variable with some dealing with major tip back and varying ear sizes in the same row. Rows around seem to range even more this year going from 12 to 20. The early sins committed in early spring are showing up in some fields again.
