I can hardly believe we are into May, and I am hoping this month will finally bring in the heat we need to start a crop off. I can’t remember more drastic weather swings happening in a month than in the April we just went through. After we quickly warmed and dried out of the freeze and snow, planters made the most of a narrow window that ran from the weekend to early Wednesday morning, putting several more acres of corn and beans into the ground. The forecast points to possibly more narrow farming windows in the week ahead as opposed to any good string of days I'm sure most of us would really appreciate right now.
