Harvest continues to pick up pace down here in southern Illinois. Combines are rolling and the crop seems to be coming in quicker every day. Haven’t seen any soybeans harvested yet but have heard of a few fields that have been cut. Yields seem to still be coming in around average from everything that I’ve heard. Bigger news around here is the availability of barges for harvest delivery crops. Elevators are saying there could be a significant delay in getting any because of the recent hurricane in Louisiana. I guess only time will tell. Weather looks good for the next week as well. Should be a lot of combines starting up. Good luck to all and be safe out there.
