Another solid week of weather has crops advancing quickly and keeping things green into August. Potential has not faded since the abnormally dry June, with some timely rains and varying temperatures reinvigorating this crop. Depending on the variety, some soybeans have started to gain some height along with plenty of weeds and volunteer corn. The elevator situation in St. Louis is getting complicated, with many shutting down for maintenance the next few weeks and the grain lines abnormally long. Looks like the challenges of 2020 are not over yet.
