We had another 3 inches of rain Sept. 11-12. That makes a total of more than 6 inches in eight days. I mowed the yard twice last week, and it’s as green as can be. By Tuesday, a couple of guys started into the corn. Early reports are 27% moisture and around 200 bushels per acre in 103-day corn. Wednesday, a few more ventured into the cornfield. There were reports of a couple guys started in soybeans, but no report from them. Those with no early corn will be waiting at least another week to start and maybe two weeks on later soybeans.
