Deana received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Eastern Illinois University. She worked at various daily newspapers across the country for 14 years before returning to her hometown of Bloomington. She joined the staff of Illinois Farm Bureau in 2014 as FarmWeek’s Agricultural Policy Editor and served in that role for five years before leading the digital team for two years. She currently serves as news publications manager.
