The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) will hold virtual public meetings in May as the State Water Plan Task Force continues to revise the 40-year-old state water plan. Each meeting will cover the same information and include live question-and-answer sessions.
Dates and times are:
- May 25, 6 p.m.;
- May 26, 2 p.m.; and
- May 27, 10 a.m.
Meeting introduction and wrap-up sections are open to all attendees; however, breakout sessions will be provided for discussion of specific issues. Attendees may choose which breakout session they prefer and may enter and leave sessions to attend multiple sessions.
Participants should review the recorded presentation before the meeting to prepare questions and comments in advance. Links to meeting recordings will be posted for those unable to attend.
Anyone who wants to provide additional comments to the task force may email those by June 30 to DNR.OWRPlanning@Illinois.gov.
“IDNR, along with other members of the State Water Plan Task Force, are again asking for public input to gather feedback on the state’s draft water plan so far, as well as answer any questions stakeholders may have concerning draft recommendations developed at this stage,” said Colleen Callahan, IDNR director.
